JCA Class of 2019: the Journey Begins 19 february 2015
As we begin to reach the last quarter of the 2014-2015 school year, for some, the high school journey has just begun. With the freshmen registration this past week, JCA has opened its doors to the 8th graders who have decided to attend JCA next year. With the creative Class of '19 t-shirts that say "We're What's Next", this incoming class has a lot to offer. Many of the kids come from area Catholic schools, such as St. Paul's, St. Ray's, and St. Mary Immaculate, while many come from a wide range of different public schools in the area. The combination of different backgrounds makes up JCA's diverse community.
To an 8th grader, JCA's environment is very different than their current school setting. Shadow visits are especially important to those who are interested in JCA. It gives 7th and 8th graders a chance to experience a day in the life of a JCA student, and to see if JCA is the right fit for them. Once you enter the halls of JCA as a student for the first time, the family atmosphere is something that is completely different than that of any other school. The 8th graders coming in to JCA are extremely excited to see what the future holds for them.
